- Abstract:
- November 5 , 2025 — Experts from the Research Institute for Democracy, Society, and Emerging Technology (DSET) deliver presentations on Taiwan’s economic security, national security, democratic governance, and energy resilience; various dimensions of Taiwan’s vulnerabilities in the face of PRC pressure; and policy options to increase societal resilience, as seen by a think tank. The Research Institute for Democracy, Society, and Emerging Technologies (DSET), a think tank established in October 2023 under the National Science and Technology Council, addresses techno-geopolitical challenges facing Taiwan. Its mission is to advise the Taiwanese government and public through report publications and international forums while developing a Track 1.5 think tank diplomacy to facilitate international cooperation with Taiwan. DSET has four research programs: Economic Security, Democratic Governance, National Security, and Energy Security & Climate Resilience.
